It was confirmed on the 22nd that a noncommissioned officer at the Korea Army Training Center asked Woozi (real name Lee Ji-hoon), a member of the famous idol group SEVENTEEN who was serving as a trainee at the time, to help arrange a wedding singer for his own wedding. Woozi then connected him with a well-known ballad singer, who performed at the wedding free of charge.
According to reporting by The Seoul Shinmun on the 22nd, Staff Sergeant A, assigned to the Army Training Center, asked Woozi, who had just enlisted as a trainee in September, to introduce a singer to perform at his wedding the following month. It is known that Woozi had no prior personal relationship with A before his enlistment.
At A’s request, Woozi contacted a famous ballad singer, referred to as Singer B, with whom he was personally acquainted. Singer B did in fact perform at the wedding in October, and no appearance fee was paid.
The Army stated that Woozi has since been selected as a drill instructor and is now serving in the same training regiment as A. According to an Army official, at the time A made the request, Woozi’s duty assignment had not yet been determined.
The Army Training Center explained that there was no coercion involved and that Woozi responded out of goodwill. A Training Center official said, “After reviewing the situation, this was not the result of an improper order but was done purely as a personal favor on Woozi’s part,” adding that “there were no illegal acts or violations of regulations.”
Nevertheless, criticism has arisen that it was inappropriate conduct for a Training Center officer to ask a newly enlisted trainee to handle a personal matter. Some legal experts point out that this could constitute a violation of the duty of integrity or the duty to maintain dignity under the Military Service Act. Attorney Noh Jong-eon, head attorney at Law Firm Jonjae, stated, “Given the strictly hierarchical and closed nature of the military, there are many court precedents that consider it a key factor that it is realistically difficult for a subordinate to refuse a superior’s personal request.”

3. How do people even find this out?
4. No but isn't this a threat? It's not like they were spending their military days together and he asked him when he was still a trainee
