The sentence of former NCT member Taeil (31, real name Moon Taeil) has been finalized. The Supreme Court rejected Taeil's appeal.
On the 26th, the Supreme Court's First Division dismissed the appeal filed by Taeil and two accomplices. As a result, Taeil will serve a sentence of three years and six months in prison for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of S** Crimes (aggravated r**e).
Last June, Taeil, along with his acquaintances Lee and Hong, met a foreigner, identified as "A," at a club in Itaewon. The three of them took advantage of A's intoxication and inability to resist, and sequentially committed sexual intercourse. The DNA of all three defendants was found on A's body.
In July, the first trial sentenced Taeil and his accusations to three years and six months in prison and ordered their detention. The appellate court upheld the first trial's ruling. They were also ordered to complete a 40-hour s** violence treatment program and were banned from working with children, adolescents, and the disabled for five years.
