""We were eating bung-eoppang when we suddenly ran into these really scary hyungs. We were so young back then, and they were huge and intimidating. It was in Dongdaemun.

All of a sudden one of them goes, “Yah, you! Come here!” just because we made eye contact. I was completely shocked, but [Jonghyun] didn’t even flinch, hyung stood there so confidently.

So hyung went like, “What?” in that kind of tone. Up to that point, it still felt like maybe we could get out of it, but then they led us into this dark alley…

No but... There were 3 even bigger hyungs waiting there. Both of us had made eye contact with them, so we were in huge trouble! I thought "maybe we should run?!" and we ended up getting a bunch of our stuff taken.

I didn’t have much on me, just an iPod and a little cash… and I almost had my iPod taken, at least from what I remember. But hyung stopped them. Back then, even shoes were a big deal, like Nike shoes, so hyung told them to just take his and to leave his dongsaeng's stuff alone. Hyung literally walked home barefoot.

It was such a terrifying moment for us, and as we were walking afterward, I kept asking, “What do we do? What do we do?” But hyung just said "it's okay", that his house was close, and he was even laughing while telling me not to worry. We ended up laughing a lot talking about it. But yeah… His feet must have been freezing.

I remember the ground was wet too because it had rained. And he still walked quite a distance uphill like that after protecting me, then went home… And the next day we met again at the practice room and kept talking about it, laughing our heads off. That was one of our memories.
