The following is the full official statement from SM C&C, the agency representing Jun Hyunmoo.

Hello. This is SM C&C, the agency representing broadcaster Jun Hyunmoo.

We are issuing the following statement to clarify the facts regarding a past broadcast scene that has recently been circulating online.

The scene in question is from the 2016 broadcast of ‘I Live Alone’. At the time, Jun Hyunmoo was experiencing throat discomfort and received treatment at a hospital under the care and prescription of his attending physician. Due to insufficient time before the filming schedule, and under the doctor's judgment, part of the process of completing the treatment while en route was inevitably captured and aired.

All medical procedures, excluding the final part of the treatment, were conducted within the hospital under the judgment and prescription of the medical staff. There was no instance of personally calling a medical professional or receiving any illegal procedures.

We wish to clarify that the current allegations stem from misunderstandings arising when certain scenes were discussed online without the full context and circumstances of the situation being adequately conveyed.

To prevent the spread of misunderstandings that differ from the facts, we ask for restraint regarding baseless speculation and distorted interpretations.
