Singer and entertainer Kyuhyun shocked viewers by revealing the outrageous behavior of a former manager he worked with during his Super Junior days.

Eun Ji-won initiated the topic by saying, “How much time do we have? This is the perfect talk-box moment. Don’t you want to hear his story?” With permission to proceed, Kyuhyun said, “Should I start with something light? Want to hear the toll-gate incident?” raising curiosity.

He continued, “You know how at places like the Namsan terminal, they check if there are three or more people in the car, right (t/n: they must be three people and more)? They tried to just drive through, but they got stopped. The manager was in the driver’s seat, a member was next to him, there were only two of them. Still, he tried to sneak through. The staff said, ‘Roll down the window, please, for verification.’ He said ‘Yes,’ lowered it just a little, then raised it saying, ‘It's okay, right?’ But there was a teddy bear in the backseat. He thought they’d just see the shape and let us pass. The staff got angry, saying, ‘Are you kidding me?’ and it became a whole scene.”
He explained that the manager was caught trying to evade the toll.

Kyuhyun didn’t stop there. “There was also a manager who was a kleptomaniac. I didn’t catch him, another member did. He caught him in the act.”

Kyuhyun said, “There’s a small storage-like space behind the shoe cabinet. Yesung came into the dorm one day, and the manager suddenly jumped in shock, saying, ‘Oh, Yesung, you’re here?’ Weird, right? So Yesung asked, ‘What were you doing in there?’ The manager kept insisting, ‘Nothing, nothing.’ It was suspicious. So Yesung told him, ‘Come out,’ and there was a box. Inside the box were all the things our members had been missing for months. He had hidden them there.”

Kyuhyun added, “We called Leeteuk since he was the leader and lived on another floor. Meanwhile, that manager begged Yesung to keep it secret, he even got on his knees. But once Leeteuk came in, the manager pretended like he’d never knelt. In the end he was fired. But what was really creepy was that he later turned up working as another singer’s manager. That freaked me out.”

There was yet another strange manager. Kyuhyun said, “I remember exactly where it was, near Konkuk University intersection. You’re not allowed to make a U-turn there, but he made an illegal U-turn. A police car that was hiding started chasing us with the siren on. And he suddenly stepped on the gas. With me in the car. I asked, ‘Hyung, what are you doing?’ His eyes looked crazy. He said, ‘Kyuhyun, my license is already suspended. I can’t get caught.’ I was terrified. I grabbed the handle, but there was traffic ahead. He started driving the wrong way into oncoming traffic. I said, ‘Hyung, wrong-way driving is really…’ and he just said, ‘No other choice,’ and kept going. He wouldn’t even look at me. I couldn’t say anything, his eyes were gone.”

He continued, “There was a motorcycle in front of us going slowly. The manager blasted the horn yelling, ‘Move! Get out of the way!’ But the rider saw the police behind us and realized we were fleeing, so he deliberately went even slower to block us. Eventually, we had nowhere to go and stopped. Then the manager said, ‘Kyuhyun, my license is suspended, can you switch seats with me just this once?’ I told him, ‘Hyung, if we switch, I’ll be the one blamed for all the wrong-way driving. I can’t do that.’”

Kyuhyun added, “The police were banging on the car. The windows were heavily tinted so they couldn’t see inside. When I refused to switch, the manager said, ‘Kyuhyun, but if I get arrested, who will take responsibility for you?’ I said, ‘What do you mean? I’ll take care of myself, just open the door.’ He kept saying, ‘But I’m responsible for you,’ while the police yelled, ‘Open it!’ Eventually, the police opened it themselves. The manager completely lost it as he was dragged away, yelling, ‘Kyuhyun! If I get taken away what will happen to you, Kyuhyun!!’ It sounds fake, but there’s not a single bit of MSG in this. He was really shouting ‘Kyuhyun!!’ as he got hauled off.”
