A payment order to repay roughly 12 billion won (~8M USD) in loan money has been finalized.
The timing of the first legal action coincides with when MC Mong was removed from his duties.
Singer and producer MC Mong has gone from being a close business partner who co-founded One Hundred with Cha Ga-won, chairman of the PIARK Group, to owing him a debt worth over 12 billion won.
According to reporting by The Fact on the 18th, Chairman Cha initiated legal proceedings against MC Mong to recover loaned funds and received a payment order last month. The amount totaled an astonishing 12 billion won. Since MC Mong did not file an objection within the legal deadline, the payment order has recently been finalized.
What stands out is the timing of the repayment request. An industry insider said, “Chairman Cha first initiated legal action regarding the loan repayment in June, then withdrew it, and proceeded again in November.” June is also when MC Mong, who had been One Hundred’s chief producer, was excluded from his duties.
On June 13, One Hundred stated, “MC Mong has been excluded from his duties due to personal circumstances,” but declined to explain the specific reason or whether he would return.
About a month later, on July 17, MC Mong posted on social media, saying, “I want to choose a path that allows me to continue making music for a longer time,” adding, “I have entrusted all my producer responsibilities at One Hundred and BPM (Big Planet Made) to Chairman Cha Ga-won, and I have decided to study abroad for my health and personal growth.”
MC Mong co-founded One Hundred with Chairman Cha in July 2023. The company later expanded by absorbing music labels such as Big Planet Made Entertainment, Million Market, and INB100, with MC Mong playing a key role. When he suddenly stepped away from everything, speculation followed.
MC Mong cited severe depression, declining health after surgery, and a desire to focus on music and language studies as his reasons for leaving, but many found the explanation unconvincing.
If financial issues between MC Mong and Chairman Cha did exist, however, his removal from duties and sudden departure from One Hundred begin to make more sense. That said, it has not yet been confirmed why Chairman Cha loaned MC Mong such a large sum, nor how the money was used.

[theqoo] ONE HUNDRED "THE CHA GA-WON AND MC MONG MESSAGES WERE FABRICATED, STRONG LEGAL ACTION AGAINST 'THE FACT'"
One Hundred stated, “After checking the facts, both the article’s content and the KakaoTalk messages are not true. MC Mong was threatened by Cha Jun-young, a relative of Chairman Cha Ga-won, and sent manipulated messages under coercion,” refuting the report.
They continued, “At the time, Cha Jun-young threatened MC Mong to forcibly sell his shares in an attempt to seize management control of Big Planet Made, and during this process the fabricated KakaoTalk messages were passed along. We believe Cha Jun-young then provided those messages to the media outlet that published the article.”
One Hundred added, “After confirming the report, MC Mong contacted the company to apologize. We plan to take strong legal action against Cha Jun-young and The Fact, which first reported the story. We will respond with zero tolerance and no leniency to malicious framing and the spread of false information targeting our artists and management. We earnestly ask that groundless speculation and defamatory reporting cease.”
MC Mong also posted a statement on his SNS the same day, claiming the messages were fabricated. He named Cha Jun-young as being behind the report and stated that he would file complaints against both The Fact and Cha Jun-young.
One Hundred’s Official Statement Regarding Chairman Cha Ga-won
Hello, this is One Hundred.
After verifying the facts, we confirm that both the article’s content and the KakaoTalk messages are untrue.
These messages were fabricated and sent after MC Mong was threatened by Cha Jun-young, a relative of Chairman Cha Ga-won.
At the time, Cha Jun-young threatened MC Mong to forcibly sell his shares in order to take over management control of Big Planet Made, and in that process the fabricated KakaoTalk messages were delivered.
We believe Cha Jun-young then passed these messages to the media outlet that published the article.
After confirming the report, MC Mong contacted the company to apologize, and we plan to take strong legal action against Cha Jun-young and The Fact, which first reported the story.
We promise to respond with zero tolerance and no leniency to malicious falsehoods and defamation directed at our artists and executives. We sincerely ask that unfounded speculative reporting and attacks cease.
Thank you.

1. He countered, "These messages were fabricated and sent after MC Mong was threatened by Cha Jun-young, a relative of Chairman Cha Ga-won.", this part makes it even weirder
2. I see~ So everything was a threat and fabricated and it was all due to an internal error~~
3. So whatã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ So you deleted it in such a hurry
4. This isn't even noise marketing so what is it?
5. Who exactly is this Cha Ga-won chairman? Lately, she's been making appearances touting herself as some “prominent” entrepreneur with a strong foothold in the construction industry, but the actual substance of her company is unclear and the source of her funds is ambiguous
6. So he wanted to go for that 'Mong-me (Homme) fatal vibe'
7. What exactly did they say was manipulated? I couldn’t tell even after looking at MC Mong's KaTalk messages
[theqoo] [OFFICIAL] CHA GA-WON'S SIDE "MC MONG CONTACTED ME TO APOLOGIZE... KAKAOTALK MESSAGES, THREATS WERE ALL FABRICATED"
Amid reports alleging an affair between P-Arc Group chairman and One Hundred CEO Cha Ga-won and singer-producer MC Mong, Cha Ga-won’s side has denied the claims.
On the 24th, One Hundred stated regarding the alleged affair that “both the article’s content and the KakaoTalk conversations are not true.”
According to One Hundred, the messenger chats were manipulated and sent by MC Mong after he was coerced by Cha Jun-young, a relative of Chairman Cha Ga-won.
They further claimed that Cha Jun-young threatened MC Mong into forcibly selling his shares in an attempt to seize management control of Big Planet Made, and that during this process the manipulated KakaoTalk messages were circulated.
They added, “After confirming the report, MC Mong contacted the company to apologize, and we plan to take strong legal action against Cha Jun-young and the media outlet that first reported the story.”
Earlier that day, The Fact reported that MC Mong was allegedly having an affair with Chairman Cha Ga-won, who is married and has children.
