So I see a lot of people say that recently debuted groups have similar concepts to NewJeans. Personally I don’t see it, other than the mega short tracks (under 3 minutes) and whack beats.
But if a new group were to debut tomorrow, what kind of concept/vibe would they have to make you LOVE them?
For me:
Something along the lines of Oh!, Gee and Genie by SNSD. That super pop “look at our long legs” kind of vibe. Like the Genie or Hoot teaser pics. Strong vocals and memorable lyrics and parts, highlighting each member. Bang by After School and Pretty Pretty by Ladies Code fall into this ideal concept too. I’d love for a group to be kinda campy, use these songs to create a MV storyline and be very girly. And I’d love for them to be performance based. I haven’t actively followed along a group during their music show promotions in YEARS. I want to be able to do that!!
