A field inspection by Ganghwa County Office into the limited liability company (LLC) registered under ASTRO member Cha Eunwoo, whose registered address was an eel restaurant in Ganghwa operated by his mother, was conducted on the 26th. However, on the same day, the company’s application to change its registered address was completed, confirming that the corporation had left Ganghwa County. The day also marked the first time Cha Eunwoo, who is currently serving in the military, stated his position since the controversy emerged.
An official from Ganghwa County, Incheon, told Ilgan Sports on the 28th, “After the controversy arose, we conducted an on-site inspection of the corporation registered in Ganghwa related to (Cha Eunwoo)’s planning business. There was no office or office equipment at the location, and no facilities necessary to carry out business operations were confirmed.”
The eel restaurant that had been registered as the address of Cha Eunwoo’s LLC opened in 2020 under his mother’s name and operated for about five years. After Cha Eunwoo enlisted in the military in July last year, the restaurant entered remodeling and is currently not in operation. It was also reported that the remodeling work has since been suspended. The official stated, “Not only were there no furnishings, but no facilities necessary for administrative work were identified, leading us to conclude that it was difficult to use the space as an office.”
Coincidentally, the corporation moved out of Ganghwa County on the same day. A Ganghwa County Office official explained, “On the day the field inspection was conducted, an application was submitted to change the registered address of Cha Eunwoo’s LLC to Gangnam District Office, and the transfer was processed and completed that same day.”
