Singer and actor Park Yoochun, who left the group TVXQ to pursue activities as JYJ, has revealed his recent whereabouts in Korea.

On the 8th, Park Yoochun posted on his social media in Japanese: “Today was really cold. Still, it was fun,” along with the caption “Beloved memories and an exciting future,” accompanied by photos apparently taken in Korea with his younger brother Park Yoohwan and acquaintances.

Park Yoochun, with his hair bleached yellow, is seen with Park Yoohwan enjoying Korean dishes like gopchang (grilled intestines) and sundae (blood sausage) with beer glasses in front of them. He also shared photos of himself wearing a mask while out on the street. Notably, Park Yoochun drew attention with a bright smile so dazzling he couldn't open his eyes while facing Park Yoohwan. In photos posted the previous day, Park Yoochun also shared images of himself dining with people who appear to be acquaintances, enjoying Korean dishes like stew, steamed eggs, and boiled octopus, noting it was “after five years.”

Park Yoochun debuted in the entertainment industry as a member of TVXQ in 2003. However, in 2010, he raised issues with his exclusive contract with his agency, SM Entertainment, and left to form JYJ with Kim Junsu and Kim Jaejoong. He subsequently expanded his activities into acting and worked vigorously, but in 2019, he became embroiled in allegations of methamphetamine use.

At the time, he stated at a press conference, “If I did drugs, I will retire,” but a positive drug test result was found in his leg hair. He was ultimately arrested on charges of methamphetamine use, sentenced to 10 months in prison with a 2-year suspended sentence. Following this, he ceased domestic activities amid legal disputes with his agency and other controversies.

In 2023, he was also listed on the National Tax Service's public roster of high-value, habitual tax delinquents. According to the NTS, Park Yoochun owed a total of 490 million won in taxes for five separate cases, including capital gains tax, dating back to 2016. However, he has continued his activities overseas, in countries like Thailand and Japan. Just last month, he held a Christmas tour starting at Tokyo's JEF DiverCity, followed by stops in Osaka and Fukuoka.
