[theqoo] [EXCLUSIVE] 'SINSEGAE'S GRANDDAUGHTER' ANNIE, RETURNS TO COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY... FOCUSING ON STUDIES UNTIL MAY

Annie (real name Moon Seo-yoon), a member of K-pop mixed group ALL DAY PROJECT, will return to Columbia University for the Spring 2026 semester after completing her leave of absence.

According to TenAsia's reporting on the 14th, Annie will resume her studies at Columbia University for the spring semester, which begins around the 20th, and focus on her academics. Majoring in Art History and Visual Arts, Annie plans to stay in the U.S. until the semester ends in May, dedicating herself solely to her studies.

Although the semester start is imminent, Annie is currently pushing through a packed schedule of advertisements and pictorial shoots, making the most of her final activities before this brief hiatus. She is expected to depart for the US shortly after completing all her remaining schedules.

The story behind Annie's admission to Columbia University, a prestigious Ivy League institution, is well-known. As the eldest daughter of Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yoo-kyung, Annie reportedly devoted herself to her studies to gain her mother's approval for her idol debut. She ultimately secured her acceptance letter to Columbia University, achieving her dream of debuting in a K-pop group.

With Annie's return to school, the four members of ALLDAY Project, Tarzzan, Bailey, Woochan, and Youngseo, are expected to focus on music production until the first half of the year while showcasing their individual talents through solo activities. Tarzzan recently met fans by releasing the music video for his solo track ‘MEDUSA’ on the 12th.

Meanwhile, All Day Project is a five-member mixed group produced by hitmaker Teddy. They made a strong impact on the K-pop scene upon debuting in 2025 with their first single ‘FAMOUS’. Their unique music, unconstrained by genre or format, has rapidly captured a global fandom since their debut.
