Actress Hani (real name Ahn Hee-yeon), formerly of EXID, has shared news of her return after three years.
On the 8th, Hani’s agency Sublime told OSEN, “Hani is currently reviewing an offer to appear in the new KBS2 weekend drama Love Is Coming.”
Love Is Coming is a drama that depicts the stories of people who sometimes wish their family weren’t their family and want to throw everything away, yet still remain bound together as a family. The series is drawing attention as a new work by writer Lee Kyung-hee (who penned Let’s Go to School, Sang Doo!, I’m Sorry, I Love You, The Innocent Man, and Uncontrollably Fond) marking her first project in about seven years since Chocolate.
The drama will be directed by PD Hong Seok-goo, who has helmed numerous KBS weekend dramas such as The Queen’s House, My Only One, Oh! Samgwang Villa!, and Beauty and the Devoted Man.
In the drama, Hani has been offered the role of Han Gyu-rim, the owner of a side-dish shop in a traditional market, and is currently reviewing it. Han Gyu-rim is an overly nosy and easily swayed character who drops everything to rush over and help when something bad happens to someone, and who rejoices and celebrates good news as if it were her own.
Hani’s drama appearance would mark her first in about three years since the Disney+ series Call It Love, which aired in 2023. Previously, Hani had halted her activities after Yang Jae-woong, a psychiatrist whom she had announced she would marry, became embroiled in a medical accident controversy. In 2024, a patient d**d at a hospital operated by Yang Jae-woong, and as a result, their wedding, which had been scheduled for September of that year, was postponed indefinitely.

After completing a yoga instructor training course and signaling a fresh start, Hani is raising expectations for her return to activities after three years with the news of her potential appearance in Love Is Coming.
Meanwhile, Love Is Coming is scheduled to air in August as the follow-up to I Prescribe You Love, which is set to premiere on the 31st.
