A man in his 30s, indicted for breaking into actress Nana's home, threatening her with a weapon, and demanding money, has denied most of the charges.

Prosecutors explained the indictment, stating, “Around 6 p.m. on November 15 last year, Mr. Kim broke into Nana's residence in Acheon-dong, Guri-si, Gyeonggi Province, armed with a weapon. He threatened Nana and her mother, demanded money, and caused injuries in the process.”

In response, Kim's defense attorney denied most of the prosecution's claims, stating, “He entered believing the house was empty, intending only to steal, with no intent to commit robbery,” and “He did not possess a weapon and was beaten unilaterally.”

Kim also claimed, “The weapon was brought out by the victim from the house,” adding, “I only entered the empty house to steal items because I was in financial difficulty.”

Kim then requested the court to examine the fingerprints on the weapon. The court decided to summon Nana and her mother as witnesses. The next trial will be held on March 10th in the same courtroom.

Previously, Kim was arrested and indicted on charges of breaking into Nana's home in Acheon-dong, Guri City, around 6 a.m. on November 15 last year, threatening and injuring Nana and her mother with a weapon, and demanding money.

Investigations revealed he used a ladder to climb onto the balcony, opened an unlocked door, and entered the house.

Upon discovering Nana's mother, Kim assaulted her, including strangling her. Hearing her mother's screams, Nana woke up and intervened, leading to a physical struggle. During this altercation, Kim sustained injuries to his jaw area caused by a weapon, according to the investigation.
