Singer Kang Daniel will enlist in the military this February.
According to an OSEN report on the 14th, Kang Daniel will enlist in the active-duty army on February 9th. This marks his first military service in nine years since his debut with Wanna One in 2017.
Kang Daniel has been candid and open about his military enlistment through interviews and broadcasts. In an interview regarding the release of his fifth mini-album "ACT" in 2024, he said, "I'm thinking hard about what I'll do before my military service. I've also planned a song to release ahead of my enlistment," and added, "I also have plans for after I'm discharged."
Also, when appearing on 'Cultwo Show', he expressed his relief by saying, "I'm finally going," and then shared an anecdote, saying, "I dropped out of high school and took the GED exam to enlist in the military early at 19, but I was rejected because there were too many applicants."
Kang Daniel, who met his fans for the last time before his enlistment by holding the fan concert '2025 KANGDANIEL FAN CONCERT [RUNWAY: WALK TO DANIEL]' after releasing a special album in December of last year, is expected to enlist after participating in some of the filming of Wanna One's reality show.
