Singer and producer MC Mong (real name Shin Dong-hyun) has pushed back against allegations of pros*****on, responding by stating that one of the women involved was his “girlfriend.”
According to Ilgan Sports on the 5th, MC Mong strongly denied the allegations, saying, “It wasn’t pros*****on. One of them is my girlfriend. Who would pay for s** with their own girlfriend?”
Earlier, on the 4th, TV Chosun’s program Shintongbangtong addressed suspicions surrounding MC Mong and alleged prostitution. The broadcast shared investigative findings reported by a journalist from Il-yo Sisa via the YouTube channel Jirit Jirit. CCTV footage from an apartment elevator was revealed, showing a group consisting of three women and one man. The footage was discovered during an investigation by the apartment management office after residents filed complaints saying, “It seems like pros*****on is taking place in our apartment.” It was later confirmed that the group was headed to MC Mong’s residence. Claims were also raised that the three women were “hostesses.”
In response, MC Mong explained that “one of the three women is my girlfriend, another is a friend of my girlfriend, and the remaining woman was someone I met for the first time at the gathering.” He added that “the man is a younger acquaintance of mine.”
MC Mong also told Ilgan Sports, “I don’t know what kind of work those friends may have done in the past."
