18) BF, who worked on the defendant company’s storytelling team, received a request from BH, the creative director of BG, and delivered the G project proposal (Exhibit Eul-31). On June 20, 2024, BF had a phone conversation with B as follows:

“(BI said you showed this to BJ, right?) Yes, yes. (Originally BJ) ah, I mean BH. BH. (BH?) Yes, BH. … At that time, they were saying they had just formed the group and really didn’t know what to do. (Yes.) I was very impressed when I saw that, so I said, ‘I actually have some materials, would you like me to show them to you?’ and I showed them... I thought those materials were very well organized into a group format, so I showed them at that time. (So BH asked you to share them?) Yes, yes, that’s right... I thought, ‘Wouldn’t this be similar?’ ... When I saw Q uploading videos and things like that ... I thought, ‘They clearly looked at and referenced all of this, so why do they keep denying it?’ ... I think they probably struggled internally at the time, but they told me they just wanted help from me... They did tell me, ‘Ah, this is so hard. Nothing is working,’ but I can’t really know what the actual working situation was like... All I can say is that when I showed those materials, they seemed completely lost at the time. But for example, it’s also possible they already had things roughly done and were just venting to me. I can’t know the real situation of their work.”

19) This issue began when R, who debuted under a label within the parent company, used the exact same production formula as G at the time of G’s debut, copied the design logo, imitated the concept, and even carried out similar promotions, which led to a proposal being made to the CEO.
