[enter-talk] WOW, THE SEA PEOPLE ARE SERIOUSLY TOO FUNNY
Even though the finale hasn't even come out yet, this is just ridiculously funny. The way they're calling each other "seasters" and acting like they have some kind of shared identity over this is hilarious. There wasn't one in this particular photo, but I even saw versions where they added Japan and some other countries too. It's funny how they inserted Japan, which they claim to like. The whole thing is just laughable. And the idea that "all Southeast Asians hate Koreans"? Like... who cares? That part is funny too

What's even more ironic is that while they're hating on Korea like this, they're also sharing tips on how to immigrate to Korea and take advantage of foreigner benefits and welfare. In other developed countries, foreign workers are legally paid less through differential wage systems, so they can't earn the same salary as locals. Japan, especially, hires them as temporary workers, makes them work, and then sends them straight back homeγ

But in Korea, if Southeast Asian workers come and work for a while, they can even get naturalized, and Korea hands out benefits and citizenship so easily. It's honestly unbelievable. In other Asian countries they’re treated terribly and paid half of what they'd make in Korea, but Korea pays Southeast Asian workers some of the highest wages and treats them extremely well. That's why, even while hating Koreans, they still crawl in like cockroaches. Seriously, where else is there such an easy, pushover country?

I've pondered why Korea, which implements relatively generous policies toward foreigners, becomes a target of hatred for low-quality foreigners. The main reason seems to be that the Korean government and people are generally too passive toward foreigners, failing to screen out, deport, and retaliate against those who act maliciously in Korea. and retaliate against them. South Korea is far too lazy to punish them... Public sentiment is also incredibly foolish and naive. People fear being labeled racists, so they hold back even legitimate criticism. There's an obsession with ignoring and avoiding rude behavior from Southeast Asians at all costs. Being poor and uneducated doesn't make someone inherently good, yet in Korea, that's treated as gospel truth. Compared to that, this recent Twitter war over Southeast Asians is nothing. Korea needs to follow the international trend.

But at the end of the day, even if some Southeast Asians say they hate Korea, does that actually harm Korea in any real way? It would mostly hurt their own tourism industries

Also, Japan is known for being freaking discriminatory against Southeast Asians as well, so it's pathetic why they would assume Japan would be on their side

Honestly, it just feels like "whatever." I don't even feel motivated to argue about it anymore
