It's not about female celebrities, but for male celebrities, it definitely feels like, idol or actor, it's getting harder to find actually good looking ones. They hype up random monolid guys who aren't even good-looking, calling them handsome, and then start forcing weird "he looks like this animal" type of cutesy comparisons. At least for female celebrities, there are still plenty like actresses like Go Younjung, Roh Jeon-eui, Kim Jiwon, Roh Yoonseo, Shin Eunsoo, Kim Yoojung, etc., and idols like Jang Wonyoung, An Yujin, Liz, Karina, Winter, Ningning, Sullyoon, Jiwoo, and so on. There are still lots of pretty ones, so the female celebrity scene at least still feels alive

If Go Younjung had been a 90s actress and those older actresses you mentioned debuted now as rookies in their 20s–30s, you'd be doing the exact opposite.
