[instiz] XIUMIN, 'OVERDROP' MV, CONTROVERSY OVER UNPAID FEES

Agency INB100, representing singer Xiumin, is facing controversy over alleged unpaid music video production fees.

On March 19 KST, production company 815 VIDEO released an official statement claiming it has not received full payment for producing the music video and teaser for Xiumin’s track 'Overdrop'.

According to the company, the total contract amount was 82.46 million KRW(~55,000 USD), of which only 16.5 million KRW(~11,000 USD) was paid upfront. The remaining 65.96 million KRW(~44,000 USD) has reportedly not been settled despite the project being completed and delivered as agreed.

815 VIDEO stated that multiple requests for payment have been made since the due date, but they have yet to receive a clear response or payment schedule, especially after the departure of the staff member.

The company emphasized that the music video has already been released and used in the artist’s promotions, adding that all contractual obligations were fulfilled. They expressed regret over the prolonged delay and warned that if the outstanding balance is not paid promptly, they may pursue all necessary legal actions to protect their rights.

As of now, INB100 has not issued an official response regarding the allegations.

1. Isn't it because of his company?

2. Sigh

3. And they were supposed to have a fan meetingㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Pay up before doing anything

4. Can they pay already? Why do they keep not paying?

5. If the agency can't cover it, the artist will have to pay for it out of their own pocket

6. Xiumin-sshi, you should be the one paying first

7. And they left SM for this?

8. I get that EXO fans hate Xiumin so much they're trying to tear him down, but setting aside the lawsuit, isn't he actually a victim in this agency matter, someone who hasn't even been paid yet? If he covers the costs out of his own pocket, that's something to praise; is it really something to criticize him for not doing?

9. There's nowhere to get any money, not from SM or the production company

10. No but if the company is like that, how are they still going ahead with the fan meeting?  What are they planning to use for the down payment?
