[enter-talk] I KNEW THERE WOULD BE TALKS AROUND PERFECT CROWN ㅋㅋ

I knew there would be talk ever since the news broke a year ago that the two were cast... Didn't they both choose roles that pushed the limits of their acting abilities? People keep saying one is good and the other isn't, but honestly, neither of them are good. I was dumbfounded when people went crazy asking why Jeongnyeon won the Daesang after IU lost it to Kim Taeri during the "When Life Gives You Tangerines" era. To put it bluntly, if IU had been told she needed to get a buzz cut like Kim Taeri, would she have taken that project? IU really never breaks out of the exact same fantasy romance genre, and if she wants to continue as an actress, she needs to broaden her acting spectrum. When Byun Wooseok rose to stardom as Seonjae, there were even articles claiming that every script in South Korea was going to him. So, the fact that he chose a romance fantasy for his next project, which requires less acting skill, speaks volumes. After all, this genre has always succeeded based on artistic merit rather than an actor's nuanced performance. The ratings will likely be high because both of them have strong fan power, but if you are an actor, you should try a variety of roles before you get any older...

IU has slurred speech and her eyes are wide open with that artificial expression that's always the same, so she's basically just doing Jang Man-wol Season 2. Byun Wooseok looks like a robot with zero emotion just delivering his lines, so it's a total disaster ㅋㅋ If the script is cringeworthy, at least the acting shouldn't be cringeworthy, but their acting and visuals don't match at all, so it's incredibly cringeworthy ㅋㅋㅋ

Both of them can't act. Honestly, they might be better because there are so many bad actors, but they both are terrible. I think I could act better than them ㅋㅋ Viewers aren't stupid, either

I'm such a fan of Byun Wooseok that I even chat with him on Bubble, and I'm such a big fan of IU that I know every single one of her B-side tracks, so I had really high expectations for Perfect Crown, but I decided to stop watching it after the 1st episode. 1. The directing, sound effects, and most importantly, IU's acting is too exaggerated. I wish she would tone it down a bit and then have some impactful lines or actions, but it feels like that the whole time. 2. Byun Wooseok is still a terrible actor... Even during Lovely Runner, I tried to ignore it because I was a fan, but without a supporting actress, all his shortcomings are obvious. 3. The reason I didn't watch Hotel Del Luna was that I thought IU didn't fit the role of Jang Man-wol because her looks suit a cute and simple vibe better than a powerful and sophisticated one; just like the top comment said, she's Jang Man-wol 2 again this time. In particular, the lines that don't resonate with me feel so cheesy. 4. I was expecting a drama like Princess Hours, but it doesn't feel like that at all. 5. I wonder if the director didn't set the actors' tones; they're all so different that it doesn't harmonize... I thought a post like this would appear since there aren't any on Pann, and sure enough, it did. I support both of them, but I feel like this drama is indefensible

Please can we act real actors... They're always using singers in their 30s playing high school students. Why not use actresses in their 20s instead ㅜ Or actresses who are 30 at most... Not mid-30s..

IU should just stick to singing and appear as a cameo from time to time.. ㅜㅜ This also reminds me of how the Lovely Runner female lead and the director saved that drama... They're both surviving thanks to their counterparts in dramas, but they definitely can't stand on their own
