Singer Zico jokingly issued a “no dating” warning to the group BOYNEXTDOOR (BND)
On the April 20 broadcast of SBS’s But Seriously Though, Lee Sang-jun, Dawn, and BND’s Myung Jaehyun appeared as guests, sharing various stories under the concept of boarding house residents.
That day, a rule reading “Absolutely no dating” was posted on the set as part of the boarding house theme. Lee Sooji, acting as the landlady, asked the three, “Do you have girlfriends?” Myung Jaehyun immediately answered, “No.” Hearing this, Lee Sang-jun said, “Even if someone here did, they’d say they don’t” Myung Jaehyun added, “If I dated, it wouldn’t just be a problem of entering the house, I think it would be a really big issue.” When Tak Jae-hoon asked, “Don’t you want to date?” Myung firmly replied, “No.”
Lee Sang-min then asked, “Do dating bans still exist these days?” Myung Jaehyun hesitated and said, “There isn’t anything like that, but Zico…” implying that while there’s no formal ban, producer Zico had given them a warning.
Tak Jae-hoon responded, “But you dated, didn’t you?” referring to Zico’s past public relationship with Seolhyun. Myung explained Zico’s stance, saying, “He told us, ‘I hope you don’t go through what I went through and only experience the good things.’” Tak Jae-hoon jokingly replied, “What he went through was the good part,” making everyone laugh.
SBS’s But Seriously Though airs every Monday at 10:10 p.m.
