[PC stories/KPOP takes] MALE IDOLS NEVER GET ANY FLACK FOR THEIR CONTROVERSIES

Aside from the Jungkook Winter debacle and Cha Eunwoo's tax fraud, I rarely see male idols get dragged for their mistakes or controversies. When it comes down to it, there are many male idols who can't sing, can't dance, can't act, have a bad personality and still get away with everything.

If we compare this to like Wonyoung who was dragged everday in 2022 by k-netz and sojang for not even doing anything bad, Lesserafim who can barely even breathe post coachella without getting hated on for something. The stark contrast between male and female celebs is just unfair. I also want to bring up the fact that the entirety of korea was hating on karina for wearing red as if mingyu and juyeon didn't also do the same and got no lashings. There are male idols being hanamn, causing trouble, never donating, bullying people in hs and their own members and they still get defended. There are idols who body shame and abuse their own members as a joke.

Male idols get defended for so much, the only group I ever see get called out is BTS and it's only because they are the biggest group in k-pop, when groups like stray kids, seventeen, the boyz and enhypen have more problematic members or have done alot of bad things but their fans bury it often. The only people in k-pop who get called out are girl groups and bts and it's like if your going to hold only certain groups acocuntable you should hold all groups accountable. Like ADP and cortis are both doing CA but only one gets defended, while the other is hated on or the fact when the W korea breast cancer event happened only bts, aespa and wonyoung were being called out and all the other fandoms pilled on them because they were the most relevant groups in attendance when all idols should have been called out.
