[PC stories/Life] I'M STRUGGLING WITH A TOXIC FRIEND. WHAT DO I DO?

Just recently, my spring semester at college started, and I made a new friend. I’m a freshman, so naturally my main objective this semester was to make at least one friend and not eat alone every day. For the sake of this post, we’ll call this friend “Ejercito Gomez.” That is not his real name, but I don’t want him finding this post.

Ejercito and I met in our statistics class. He sat next to me because it was the only seat left. The professor hadn’t arrived yet, so we started making small talk. That’s when we discovered we both like K-pop, and more specifically, our shared favorite idol: G-Dragon. From that moment on, we became inseparable. We hung out constantly—getting Chick-fil-A on campus, grabbing boba from the alumni café between classes, and yapping nonstop. I liked him enough that I even introduced him to my friend group. At this point, everything felt normal. Like, finally, I thought I had found my college bestie. My twin.

Then things started getting weird.

After Ejercito and I exchanged socials, everything changed. The first day was normal—we talked as usual. But the very next day, he stopped sitting next to me in statistics. No explanation. No acknowledgment. No more reading Pannchoa posts together during class. He stopped talking to me completely and acted as if I didn’t exist. This hurt a lot because he was the only person I was really close to at school.

Fast forward about a month later, I found out that Ejercito had suddenly dropped out. I was shocked, so I pulled out my bright orange iPhone 17 Pro Max (with my G-Dragon photocard in the case) and opened our school's Yik Yak (yes, I know). That’s when I noticed he had blocked me. Confused and angry, I logged out to view his profile.

That’s when I saw it.

His profile had changed to my exact name and my profile picture. Gomez was impersonating me and making posts mocking people/idols I love. Because of this, my friends got confused and thought it was actually me, so they started blocking me. Now, people at school think I’m a bully and a deranged K-pop fan who lives permanently online. Ever since then, Ejercito has been actively ruining my reputation, and I genuinely don’t know what to do. I never did anything to him, and I feel scared and lost knowing people think this about me.

Fellow citizens of Pannchoa, please help me. What should I do in this situation? How do I stop someone from impersonating me and destroying my reputation?
