Former ADOR CEO Min Heejin’s legal team reiterated its position during a damages lawsuit filed by BELIFT LAB, saying, “Talks that ILLIT was copying NewJeans had already been circulating both inside and outside the industry.”
They also argued, “The defendant did not make these statements first as part of mediaplay. Rather, they were comments made while expressing her feelings amid being subjected to a witch hunt under the frame of an alleged management rights takeover.”
They added, “Even if the statements are true, they do not constitute false information, which was also recognized in a previous ruling.”
Regarding KakaoTalk chat messages, Min’s side further responded, “The plaintiff claims it was like a pre-planned press conference, but the contents of the KakaoTalk messages were merely imaginary thoughts at the level of brainstorming in her head, and none of them were ever carried out"
1. So there was a trial today. Honestly, HYBE made a fuss by revealing everything to the outside
2. I do feel bad for ILLIT, but HYBE are the ones who fueled the fire in this issue
3. Huh... Does she not remember that she brought it up herself during her press conference
4. But there were talks about them being similar since the reveal of ILLIT, and it's just a fact... I only pity the artist
5. They were already hit with huge accusations right from the debut
6. If HYBE hadn't stolen Min Heejin's proposal and copied it in the first place, this wouldn't have happened. Even if that were the case, they should have resolved it internally; it was HYBE that initiated the media play
7. But it's a fact that they took her proposal and copied her
8. Honestly, I hope ILLIT succeed, they suffered way too much since the debut
9. HYBE are the ones who fueled the fire ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Min Heejin tried her best to resolve it from the inside
10. Fact: HYBE exposed all internal complaints to the media, claiming Min Hee-jin committed breach of trust.
So Min Heejin held a press conference as a consequence of that.
In other words, HYBE mentioned it publicly first.
