It seems that sports announcers tend to be the kind of people who are drawn to that sort of aesthetic, even among announcer applicants, it's been a long-standing tradition for them to wear outfits that are practically one-piece swimsuits. Women who can't bring themselves to wear something like that probably wouldn't apply to sports broadcasters, even if they were to apply to local stations
