[Nate] "IGNORING HIS FAN BECAUSE SHE'S BLACK" CHOI WOOSHIK, RAC**M CONTROVERSY... AFTER LOOKING AT THE VIDEO

Actor Choi Wooshik has been accused of engaging in rac**t behavior at a fashion show in Paris.

On the 26th, a Black woman uploaded a video on TikTok claiming that she had been deliberately ignored by a male actor at the AMI fashion show held in Paris, France, the previous day, describing the incident as an act of racism.

Introducing herself as an actress and writer, she began by saying, "I don't usually jump to the conclusion that something is rac**m. But what happened at this fashion show was such a strange and uncomfortable experience that I'm still in shock."

She explained that she had even prepared a support sign specifically for her favorite actor.
"During the time when the actors came over to fans to sign autographs and take photos, I saw the actor I had been cheering. At that moment, I was the only person holding a sign with his name on it."

However, she said the actor did not acknowledge her at all.

"He looked at my sign once, then looked away and walked right up to where I was standing. But without making eye contact, he started signing autographs only for the people to my left. He reached his arm over my head to sign other people's belongings. He even signed one of the paper fans that had been handed out at the event and gave it to someone else. He signed every item belonging to the people around me except for my sign, then walked away."

She continued:
"The issue isn't that I didn't get an autograph. What I couldn't understand was why he deliberately came right in front of me and only signed for everyone else. I was the only Black person in that section. I don't know whether it was rac**m or unconscious bias, but it was an incredibly humiliating experience."

She also said that she encountered the actor again at the after-party but crossed the street because she was worried he might think she was following him.

"It felt like I was being told, 'You don't belong here,' or 'You can't be my fan.' I can't change the fact that I'm Black. It even made me think that maybe someone with dark skin isn't allowed to be his fan."

She also released video footage she had recorded at the scene. In the video, she can be heard repeatedly calling out, "Please!" and "I love you!" while the actor appears to sign autographs only for other fans around her before walking past.

Although the woman did not mention the actor's name or show his face in her video, footage of the same moment filmed from another angle spread online, leading internet users to identify the actor as Choi Wooshik. The outfit worn by the actor in the video also matched what Choi had worn to the event.

As the controversy spread, overseas fans criticized the alleged racist behavior on social media and online communities. However, many also defended Choi, arguing:
"He couldn't possibly sign for everyone at the event."
"Maybe he felt shy because she was showing such enthusiastic support and just walked past."
"It looked like he was signing randomly. This seems like she's taking it too personally."

This is the best // It's warm // Ridiculous // I'm upset // I'm mad

It wasn't an autograph session; it was at random, so there's a very high chance that people of other races, not just black people, missed out too. Her kind of thinking is way too self-centered
