[Nate] JENNIE, MOVED TO TEARS BY STAGE MISHAP, OPENS UP ABOUT HER FEELINGS "NOT EVERYTHING CAN BE PERFECT"

BLACKPINK’s Jennie shared her thoughts as she wrapped up a festival tour that lasted approximately three months. Her words have drawn particular attention because they came shortly after she was seen in tears during her Summer Sonic Tokyo performance on the 16th.

On the 17th, Jennie posted several photos on social media taken onstage and backstage at the festivals, along with a lengthy message. In the photos, Jennie poses in a stage outfit consisting of lace, sheer pants, a crop top, and a jacket.

Jennie began, “I’m grateful for all the love and energy you’ve shown me at every festival over the past three months. It’s hard to put into words how much I’ve experienced, learned, and grown during this time.”

She continued, “Looking back, there were so many moments I never expected, and I went through countless good moments as well as difficult ones. I realized that’s a part of life.”

She went on to say, “Not everything goes perfectly, and maybe it isn’t supposed to. I’m learning to accept even the difficult moments as part of the journey, because those moments taught me so much and helped me grow.”

Jennie added, “I hope I can look back on all of this with love and carry the good things, the lessons I’ve learned, and the memories with me as I face whatever comes next.”

She also expressed her gratitude to the staff who accompanied her throughout the journey. “None of these moments would have been possible without the incredible people who helped create every stage with me,” she said, thanking her crew and staff, band, dancers, directors, and others. She continued, “Thank you for giving your all to every performance with endless effort and passion. I’m truly grateful that I was able to share this journey with all of you.”

Finally, Jennie wrote, “I’m leaving this chapter carrying so much love, gratitude, inspiration, and countless memories that I’ll keep deep in my heart. Thank you for being part of this journey. Until the next one.”

Previously, Jennie experienced several unexpected difficulties during her Tokyo performance at Summer Sonic 2026, held in Japan the previous day. During the show, she was seen repeatedly adjusting her stage outfit, seemingly because there was an issue with it. When a problem arose with her microphone, she pointed toward it to alert the staff. Later, footage captured her appearing to struggle, with her hands trembling and moments when she seemed to be holding back tears, raising concerns among fans.
