Kim Heechul, a member of the group Super Junior, revealed the reason why he briefly stepped away from the JTBC variety show *Knowing Bros*.

Kim Heechul explained his decision to temporarily halt his appearances on Knowing Bros and take a break, stating, "We film every Thursday, but last year, while touring for Super Junior's 20th anniversary, situations arose where I had to miss a shoot or the production team had to hold the recording twice because of me."

He continued, "Hodong-hyung is someone who always puts the viewers first," adding, "Whether he’s exhausted, has a leg injury, or has a cold, he believes the most important thing is not to be disrespectful to the audience. I’ve changed a lot myself by watching him." He went on to say, "When everyone gets sleepy around 4 a.m., Hodong-hyung would say, 'It might be 4 a.m. for us, but for the viewers, it’s 6 p.m.,'" noting, "I realized he was absolutely right."

Kim Heechul also spoke candidly about his earnings during his time with Super Junior. He confessed, "Appearing on broadcasts actually resulted in a net loss. I didn't earn significantly more than other groups, though I made enough to get by." He added, "In fact, I earned more money while working on Knowing Bros than during my Super Junior activities, simply because that was income I earned on my own."

Earlier in April, JTBC announced that Kim Heechul, a regular cast member for 11 years, would be taking a temporary break from the show Knowing Bros. Kim Heechul also shared the news personally via social media. He stated, "I received many messages of concern from acquaintances, but I decided to take a short break because I didn't want to show viewers a weary side of myself," adding, "I hope all the viewers stay healthy until we meet again."
