[Nate] SOYOU AT 48KG, "I COULDN'T WEAR SKIRTS BECAUSE OF MY MUSCLES... PEOPLE TOLD ME TO MANAGE MYSELF"

Singer Soyou revealed that she used to be stressed by malicious comments telling her to lose weight back when she had a lot of muscle from intense working out.

Soyou discussed dieting on the KBS Joy variety show 'Kkiri-Kkiri', which aired on the 26th.

Soyou shared a meal of sukiyaki with Lee Chang-sub and Jeong Jin-woon. When Lee Chang-sub remarked, "Weight gain and happiness are directly proportional," Jeong Jin-woon replied, "I was really happy from last year through the beginning of this year," and Soyou added, "I was very happy two years ago."

Jeong Jin-woon then shared an anecdote involving Soyou.

He said, "I went golfing with Soyou. As she was getting ready for her tee shot, I had a feeling she was going to hit a massive drive. If you look at the video from back then, her muscles were absolutely incredible."

Soyou commented, "That’s why I couldn't wear skirts."

Jeong Jin-woon noted, "That was back when you were working out a lot."

Soyou explained, "I had really gotten into working out. Lifting heavy weights was so much fun. My physique was amazing back then."

However, she said, "The thing is, I got so stressed every time I had to take a photo. People would say things like, 'You look too puffy' or 'You need to take better care of yourself', even though I was working out so hard."

When Jung Jin-woon remarked, "But that’s actually healthy," Soyou replied, "Then came 'PDA,' and after that, the weight just kept dropping until I was down to 48 kg."
