Last March, she spotted a baby wombat traveling with its mother; she snatched only the baby and filmed a video.

Even though the mother was chasing her from behind and the baby was crying, she calmly filmed the scene and even uploaded the footage.

Naturally, this sparked a massive public outcry and a petition campaign involving Australian animal protection groups and ordinary citizens; she posted a "non-explanation" claiming she had just held it briefly and returned it quickly.

When the Australian government, furious at her actions, began the process of revoking here visa, she deleted the video and fled back to the US.

The Australian government declared that she was effectively banned and would never be allowed to enter the country again.

Wombats are an endangered, protected species in Australia.

To make matters worse, she went on to illegally hunt wildlife without a guide in the US this year and was sentenced to six months in prison just two days ago.

Although the actual jail time was suspended in favor of 12 months of probation and a fine...

1. This pisses me off so much. Just how shocked the mom and the baby must've been 

2. I doubt she even wanted to return the baby

3. There are some species that just abandon their babies if they come back carrying an unfamiliar scent, I wonder if that one will be okay
