[theqoo] FANS WHO ORGANIZED HONG MIN-GI'S BIRTHDAY CAFE RELEASES "FANDOM EXIT" STATEMENT FOLLOWING HIS EXPOSE POST

In 2026, aside from the birthday cafe events, there was never a single time when there were two or more fans at the official fan events. Yet he acted as though it was perfectly normal for fans to spend money and time, and even went so far as to make us feel uncomfortable by bringing up the value-for-money of things that had never even been certified/verified as official merchandise.

He even told people at the company that he didn’t want to run into fangirls at the office, kept it a secret, and apparently asked them how they found out whenever we happened to cross paths after I had repeatedly avoided him. Whenever he met fans, he would keep asking, “How did people find out?” and if I tried to talk to him, he would cut me off, pretend he needed to go to the bathroom, and even run away to avoid talking to me, this was Hong Min-gi…

When fans came to meet him, he ignored everything they say and doesn't want to hear any of it, so when I brought up those things, they would focus on stories about his beloved dog because those were the only things that seemed to make him happy. I even tried to come up with conversation topics and prepared gifts related to his dog, but now they’re saying even that was all fake, so honestly, everything about this is disgusting.

If you really didn’t want to come, then don’t come. Why on earth did you make us think you had even changed your flight to come to Japan? If even two birthday cafes were held at your level, I would have thought you’d be grateful. But because of your own attitude, the fans were the ones who had to constantly make room for you and wanted to leave, while you apparently mistook that level of tolerance for genuine affection. The amount of time I spent going along with you now feels like such a waste, and honestly, I feel sorry for you.

There wasn’t a single person who didn’t know about what was going on, and your attitude toward the fans was always so insincere and disgusting. I’ve put up with it more than once or twice, but when I asked whether you were a fan of yourself, seeing you behave so inconsiderately, even toward people you’ve known for a long time, just makes me feel how miserable your life must be. Since I never expected anything from you, I guess I’m not that disappointed either…

I can only think that things finally blew up. From now on, do not ever give up, and I hope that you are held accountable for every single thing you have done because of this incident, and that even after time passes, you will never be able to recover/rebuild your reputation.

1. If there were rarely more than two fans showing up in person, that was basically nugu-tier status. Did his hate towards his fans start back then? Maybe he wanted to show off how "great" he was, in that haughty, aristocratic style, so he belittled the fans even more harshly? Seeing it from the fans' perspective makes it even more ridiculous

2. If only 2 fans would show up in person, you'd usually feel so grateful that you end up forming a special bond with them, don't you?

3. It’s a stretch to even call him a "rising star", if you're a rookie, you really ought to stay humble. Having two birthday cafes opened for you is such a lovely gesture; is this how you repay that love, by acting in a way that makes fans want to leave the fandom?

4. Can actors still pursue their professions without having fans?

5. How do you bring yourself to hate your fans at that level?

6. Why does he even hate his fans?

7. Wow this is legendary ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

8. Wow, it's not like he's a crazy good actor either. Impressive...

9. Hul this is seriously shocking? If this is true, regardless of his current controversy, it's seriously daebak

10. Is it common for fans to host two separate birthday cafes when there are so few of them? Accusing those few fans of "hating the artist", the fans probably wondered, "Is he talking about me?" He’s lost his mind; he’s nothing but a nuisance
