According to a MyDaily report on the 7th, only Jisoo, Rose, and Jennie will attend BLACKPINK’s 10th-anniversary Meet & Greet.
Previously, BLACKPINK’s agency, YG Entertainment, had not prepared anything for the 10th anniversary, only to rush out an announcement on the 6th. With just two days left before the event, they hadn’t even properly announced the specific location or time, and despite it being a meaningful 10th-anniversary milestone, only 40 fans were invited.
Furthermore, they restricted eligibility to members of their fan platform, who have effectively had no communication with the group for over a year, and even those members had to apply within just 9 hours. It feels as though they’re “rushing through everything haphazardly”, a phrase that fits perfectly. Not even the entire group is gathering. As if anticipating criticism, they announced in advance that “only some members whose schedules permit will attend,” and as a result, only Lisa will be absent.
Negative sentiment dominates ahead of this event. This is due to YG Entertainment’s lack of communication, the 10th anniversary date had already been set, yet they posted a single announcement just two days prior without any preparation. Although the BLACKPINK members are busy with their individual schedules, they prioritized meeting fans above all else and cooperated by making as much time as possible.
