Mark Lee, formerly of the group NCT, has issued another apology regarding the controversy over an outfit involving a r*c**lly offensive symbol.
In an apology posted on his official Instagram on August 21, Mark stated, "I would like to clarify what I said during my Instagram Live. It was a mistake for me to say during the broadcast that I was aware of the symbol's meaning and historical significance. What I meant to convey was that, at the time, I did not know the meaning or historical significance of that symbol."
He continued, "I want to make it clear: I did not know what the symbol represented. There is no excuse for this. I take full responsibility for my lack of awareness. I want to sincerely apologize to those who were hurt or distressed by this incident, especially my Black fans. I have always valued respecting others and bringing people together through music; this incident does not align with my values."
He added, "I am well aware that my lack of knowledge does not diminish the impact of my mistake or the hurt it caused. I deeply regret my ignorance regarding the history and meaning behind that symbol. I will strive to learn more and show growth in the future. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was hurt. I hope to demonstrate the values of respect and inclusion that I stand for through my future actions."
Mark became embroiled in controversy last June after wearing a T-shirt featuring the Confederate flag. The Confederate flag is a symbol of white supremacy and r*c*sm in the United States.

1. Huh? Again??
2. Huh? Is he talking about a different T-shirt from last time?
3. Is it the same controversy as the one that happened recently?
4. You're wearing clothes with the Confederate flag on. How did that happen then? Tsk tsk tsk
5. If he's apologizing a second time, isn't it basically apologizing for what happened recently?
6. Seems like the reactions were really bad then
7. Aigoo
8. He's probably apologizing because he needs to release a song
9. He's apologizing again now??
10. I think he posted another apology saying it was a slip of the tongue, even though he had claimed during the live stream that he knew the meaning
