[theqoo] STATEMENT FROM A MAJOR OVERSEAS BLACKPINK FAN ACCOUNT ON THE GROUP'S 10TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT

To. BLACKPINK

This year marks not the 8th or 9th anniversary, but the 10th anniversary of our debut. It's a milestone that comes just once in a lifetime for a K-pop group.

We know that all the members are focusing on their individual solo activities right now, and while fans sincerely support and wish for each one's success, please don't forget that the members are able to stand as they are today because they were BLACKPINK before that.

We're not even expecting a comeback, a world tour, or a fan meeting. Fans' expectations have dropped that low by now. But seeing this incredibly important milestone pass by with next to nothing honestly breaks our hearts.
What fans aren't asking for is nonstop activities, weekly lives, or constant events. Blinks have long accepted that BLACKPINK was never that kind of group to begin with.

What Blinks want is just one day. Out of 365 days, just one, August 8th, a day to celebrate the 10 years we've spent together.
A short live broadcast, a meaningful event, or even just spending time with the Blinks who've supported you from the very beginning would mean the world.

Of course, fans know the members love Blinks. We've felt it in their words, in the smiles and gazes they direct at us. But sometimes, actions speak louder than words. Even taking just one day for the fans would carry far more weight than a single "We love Blinks" post. Love is something shown through effort.

Fan service isn't just a way to simply make fans happy, it's a way to express gratitude to the fans who have supported the group and the members' careers. BLACKPINK's success came from the members' talent and hard work, yes, but it was also made possible because Blinks believed in them every step of the way.

It's not that BLACKPINK succeeded because of Blinks, but without Blinks, the BLACKPINK we have today wouldn't exist. So after these 10 years, fans no longer want to just hear words of thanks. We want to feel that gratitude directly

Truthfully, it's heartbreaking, but if the members turned on an Instagram live for even just a few minutes on the 10th anniversary, fans would react like they'd received the greatest gift in the world. Blinks have been hiding our disappointments, celebrating and rejoicing over even the tiniest things as if they were monumental. We shouldn't create a situation where fans have to be grateful for the bare minimum.

We understand that priorities exist, and that solo careers matter too, but when the time comes to come together as BLACKPINK, we just hope you'll join us wholeheartedly.

Fans have kept these feelings hidden because we didn't want to hurt the members or create a negative atmosphere, but I feel like staying silent any longer isn't right either. If fans don't speak up honestly, they won't even know how much we've been holding in.

Before solo activities, before global ambassadorships, before individual achievements, BLACKPINK came first. Please don't forget that.
Before we became fans of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, or Lisa as individuals, we first loved BLACKPINK as a group.

Ten years is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone. All we hope is that this moment isn't one that slips by quietly, but a precious one we remember as shared and celebrated together. Not because fans are demanding it, but because BLACKPINK and Blinks both deserve to celebrate it together.

original post: here

1. It's honestly so severe

2. I pity the fans

3. Of course, the fans are upset

4. If the members don't show that they love the group, the fans' love for the group will fade too. This is really a matter of sincerity

5. But aside from posting photos on Instagram, do the BP members even communicate with their fans? Do they have things like Weverse or some other communication app?

6. ㅜㅜ Even groups who have disbanded would come together for their 10th year anniversary

7.  Seeing how they're not even taking care of their 10th anniversary shows that they don't have any love left for the group

8. A 10-year anniversary is such a meaningful event... why are they doing this? My bias group also skipped over their 10th year anniversary so I understand the fans' feelings

9. I pity the fans... most of  BP's fans have been their fans since the start so isn't this just straight up abandonment? They didn't prepare anything for their 10th year anniversary

10. This is the reason why I never became a fan
