[enter-talk] I WONDER HOW HYERI'S IMAGE HAS BECOME THIS WAY NOW?

I've been curious lately because the hate and malicious comments surrounding Hyeri's fan meeting videos have been so intense. People keep saying the entertainment industry is all about luck, claiming she got famous way beyond her actual talent or that watching her makes them cringe.

Even to me, her dancing looks seriously bad, she's stiffer than actors who have never danced a day in their lives. It makes me wonder how she even made it big, considering she used to be an idol in a fairly popular group.

Back in her Girl’s Day days, though, she was the pretty maknae and I don't recall her dancing being so noticeably bad that it drew criticism or mocking, though my memory might be off. She shot to fame thanks to her aegyo, and while there's been talk that her acting has been repetitive since Reply 1988, I actually thought her performance as Deoksun was pretty decent.

She hasn't really been involved in any career-ending scandals, either. It seems like people dislike her more because of that "boy-crazy/pick me" image, but is there a specific reason for all the hate?

I really wonder how she keeps getting cast. The industry, especially for actresses, is extremely sensitive to public image and controversies. Putting aside the reasons for her poor image, she isn't stunningly pretty enough to offset it, nor is her acting exceptional.......... I have to wonder if it's down to connections or something else

She can't act but she keeps receiving lead roles;

It's mostly because of her "boy-crazy" image. Every time Hyeri posts a video with a male celebrity, all the comments are calling her "boy-crazy/pick me"

Isn't this about the "This is fun" comment she made when she had a new guy she was in a "some" with right after breaking up with Ryu?

There are plenty of celebrities who can't dance. Back in her prime, Hyeri couldn't dance either, but she had that fresh, charming vibe. Jisoo isn't a great dancer either, but she doesn't get much hate because her expressions and attitude are so bright and "idol-like." However, looking at recent videos, it’s not just that her dancing is terrible, her outfits are awful, and her facial expressions are really weird. She looks kind of drowsy or lifeless. So basically, her expression is always the same
