[Nate] LISA, OPENS UP RIGHT AFTER STEPPING AWAY FROM BLACKPINK... "IT WAS SO HARD, THE PRESSURE WAS IMMENSE"

Lisa of the group BLACKPINK expressed deep affection for the members with whom she has shared the past decade, while also opening up about the pressure she felt while striking out on her own.

On the 9th, the official trailer for 'Always Lalisa' a feature-length documentary chronicling Lisa's story, was released.

In the video, Lisa playfully looks into the camera and asks, "Do I look like a rock star?" before reflecting on her time with BLACKPINK.

She notably drew attention by stating, "I’ve spent 10 years with BLACKPINK," and adding, "Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose are my soulmates." By describing the members, with whom she journeyed from her 2016 debut to global stardom, as "soulmates," she demonstrated the enduring bond they share.

However, the trailer captures not just BLACKPINK’s Lisa, but the "solo artist Lisa" and the immense pressure she faced while forging her own path. Reflecting on her relentless schedule, Lisa remarks, "There were truly no days off," and candidly admits, "It was tough. There was so much pressure."

The footage also reveals moments where, despite others telling her she didn't need to push herself so hard, she insisted, "No, I can do it," and pressed forward with her activities.

Her first moments stepping in front of the camera as an actress are also featured. Lisa visited the set of HBO’s 'The White Lotus' Season 3, and when a co-star greeted her with "Hi, Lisa," she displayed an expression that blended nervousness with excitement.

Towards the end of the video, Lisa says, "I am finding myself, a new version of me." This highlights that the core of the documentary lies not in her glamorous stage persona, but in the journey of stepping, albeit briefly, outside the confines of BLACKPINK to discover her own identity.

In particular, the film sheds light on the journey of Lisa, who rose from childhood and her trainee days to become a global star with BLACKPINK, as she builds her own music, acting career, and brand outside the group, while also revealing the fears and pressures she faced along the way.

Directed by Sue Kim, 'Always Lalisa' will hold its world premiere at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival on the 11th and will have a limited theatrical run, including IMAX screenings, worldwide starting October 12. It is scheduled for a global release on YouTube Premium later this year.
