Stanley Jong was hired as a full-time software engineer at Google immediately after graduating from high school, achieving an SAT score of 1590 and a weighted GPA of 4.42. His family claims that an elite group discriminated against him.

Asian students pose specific problems for universities. They are not athletes, do not join student clubs, do not pay much tuition (through grades or scholarships), and do not make significant donations as graduates. They take away all the value that can be obtained from a degree, yet universities cannot extract value from them.

1. They probably implement a quota system because Asians are just so vastly superior academically, it’s not even a fair comparison. As for scholarships, it doesn't really matter who gets them. If the university is short on funds, couldn't they just squeeze three or four times as much money out of wealthy students through donation-based admissions?

3. At the end of the day, it’s just a stereotype; you have people like Jonny Kim and Jeremy Lin, after all. If you did something like that to a Black person, there would be a huge uproar about rac**m, but Asians living in white-majority countries are too nice, when they hear things like that, they just think, "Maybe we're the ones in the wrong," and quietly go about their lives, so people just keep looking down on them

4. But a university is supposed to be a place for academic research, right? How can they claim to uphold that mission if they act like that? Admitting only students who generate profit? That’s the behavior of a cram school or a mere merchant. Even if they’re just peddling degrees, a merchant is still supposed to maintain some level of integrity, what on earth are they doing?

5. Do they really think like that? I mean, race aside, if someone works hard at their studies, gets good grades, lands a decent job, works diligently, and builds a solid reputation, doesn't that reflect positively on the school and benefit both the institution's standing and the junior students? Visible results like athletic achievements or donations aren't the only things that matter

7. It's probably because they're afraid of running out of spots if too many Asians get in.

After all, Asians are smarter than those stupid Westerners

8. Isn't that a given? It's hard to reach a high social status for them...

9. Do private universities in the US not receive government funding? Is that why they can unabashedly say that Asians aren't profitable?

10. But then, is that even a school? Can you really call that a school...?
