Reflecting on the artists she admired, she said, “I used to think about what made them cool. I admired them because of their songwriting skills and the work they produced.”

However, the attention directed at her was different. Roh Jisun recalled that most of the comments she received focused on her appearance, remarks about her being pretty or comments regarding her physique. She also revealed encountering reactions such as, “Who would date a girl like that?”, “I envy her boyfriend,” and “I bet I could hit on her if I played my cards right.”

“I hated being defined solely by my looks,” Roh Jisun said, opening up about her feelings at the time. “I just wanted people to take an interest in my work and my performances.”

She said she was particularly hurt by how certain parts of her body were highlighted in some online content.

"To be completely honest, whenever I performed, people would zoom in on my chest, slow down the footage, and upload it," she said. "Being objectified in that way didn't feel dignified, and it was deeply upsetting."

original post: here

1. She felt a sense of disillusionment back when she saw people only focused on idols' looks, yet now she's become an influencer who makes a living solely based on her appearance

2. Seriously, what’s up with these comments? Isn't that just a struggle every female idol faces?
I guess it was worse because the environment was male-dominated... It's understandable to get a reality check...

3. It was even worse because fromis 9's fandom was mostly made up of menã…

4. I would've gotten disillusioned tooㅜㅜ... she suffered

5. I was reading this thinking "She had a hard time", but my expression became sour when I saw the comments...

6. Then what does that make the remaining members...

7. Isn't it a bit inconsiderate of the remaining group members to go out and focus on being an influencer? Does she really have to say it like this?

8. Isn't that just the kind of struggle female idols face? I don't see what is problematic about what she said?

9. What does that remark have to do with the current members?

10. Sigh... I can't imagine how hard the life of a female idol is...
