However, some viewers raised concerns about the difference in how the family treated Song Jieun versus Yoon Sohee.
Attention was drawn to a moment during the pre-meal prayer where Park Wi mentioned Yoon Sohee before his wife, Song Jieun. Additionally, the table settings appeared to pair the in-laws with Park Wi and Yoon Sohee, while Song Jieun used different tableware, sparking questions among some viewers.
A subsequent video call with the family also showed Park Wi greeting only Yoon Sohee, saying, "Sohee, have a great Chuseok."
While these incidents might seem trivial in isolation, they sparked a controversy regarding the treatment of the daughter-in-law, particularly given the existing negative public sentiment toward Park Wi.
Some netizens pointed out that Song Jieun appeared relatively sidelined by her in-laws. Conversely, others argued that it is difficult to draw definitive conclusions about family dynamics based solely on a few moments captured in the video.
Park Wi was diagnosed with full-body paralysis following a fall from a building in 2014 but regained enough upper-body mobility through rehabilitation. He married Song Jieun, a former member of the group Secret, in October 2024.
