Considering the size of the Asian continent and the volume of submissions for other newly established categories, the number of entries here is remarkably low; Billboard is analyzing this as a mass boycott by the K-pop scene (though it isn't a total absence, as about three teams have been confirmed).

It appears that a large number of submissions came from Japan.

In contrast, the newly established Latin Song category received 519 submissions.

1. Starship and Fifty Fifty's companies both submitted
