[theqoo] ILLIT ADDRESSES CONTROVERSY OVER S**UALIZING FEMALE POLICE OFFICERS WITH THEIR COSTUMES "WE WELCOME ANY TYPE OF ATTENTION"

During the showcase, a question was raised regarding the controversy over the s**ual objectification of female police officers, which stemmed from the costumes worn during a concert performance. At the time, ILLIT unveiled their new song, "You're Under Arrest," while wearing outfits, including form-fitting, short skirts and hats, reminiscent of female police uniforms. Critics argued that these costumes were a step backward, especially considering that the uniform for "Posuni", a character representing a female police officer, had recently been updated from a skirt to trousers.

Addressing this, Yuna responded, "First of all, we were both thrilled and surprised by the intense interest we received after debuting the performance during our tour. We are truly grateful for any attention directed toward our stage."

She added, "As you can see in our music video, our concept is based on 'black agents,' and we plan to showcase a variety of different styles in our upcoming performances. We hope you will continue to show us plenty of interest and love."

1. What is this utter nonsense?

2. ????

3. There's no way they answered that question like that right...?

4. Basically the interview confirmed everything they do is just viral marketing

5. Did the staff fail to provide any advice on potential questions, or was that the answer they actually suggested?

6. They didn’t state the question clearly, it was a bit vague. Still, giving an answer like that to a related question is... It's still shocking one way or the other

7. Ugh... answering like that just makes things look even worse... ㅠㅠㅠ
They should’ve just said something like, "I’ll work hard," or "I’ll put in even more effort"...

8. Ew

9. No thoughts going on

10. But are they really going to keep this "vibe" and promote like that? I'm shocked
