Song Mino (33) of the group WINNER, whose conviction for dereliction of duty as a social service agent has been finalized, is set to resume his remaining military service.

The Military Manpower Administration announced on the 16th that a decision for him to resume service was made following the finalization of the ruling from his first trial.

An official from the administration explained, "We plan to notify him of the resumption of service after comprehensively reviewing details such as the exact duration and the assigned service agency, based on the court ruling."

Song was indicted on charges of violating the Military Service Act for being absent from his post without authorization for 102 days while serving as a social service agent between March 2023 and December 2024.

On the 1st, he was sentenced to one year in prison suspended for two years in the first trial; as he did not appeal, the sentence became final.

On the 9th, Song issued an apology via social media, stating, "I will faithfully fulfill the remaining procedures and obligations."
