With former BIGBANG member TOP and singer-actress Nana confirming their relationship, a "convenience store mukbang" (eating broadcast) they filmed together a few months ago is drawing renewed attention. While they appeared visibly awkward at the time, they have since progressed to enjoying "convenience store dates" as a couple.
On the 2nd, T.O.P’s agency, Top Spot Pictures, told *MyDaily*, "The two first met while filming a music video; they grew closer afterward and developed a romantic relationship around last June." Nana’s agency, Sublime, also stated, "They formed a connection through a music video shoot and are currently seeing each other."
Earlier that day, Dispatch reported that T.O.P and Nana have been dating since last June. According to the report, the couple primarily enjoyed dates in Achiul Village in Guri, Gyeonggi Province—where Nana is known to reside—and were seen meeting on consecutive days, specifically the 30th of last month and the 1st of this month.
Photos released alongside the report offered a glimpse into their date. The two visited a convenience store dressed in casual attire. T.O.P wore a white T-shirt, a blue jacket, and black trousers, accessorizing with black-framed glasses and a hat. Nana also appeared unadorned, sporting a messy short hairstyle, a white face mask, and a black short-sleeved top with matching trousers.
Interestingly, a convenience store played a role in their story even before they started dating. Last April, the YouTube channel TP[" released a live broadcast titled "One-time YouTuber TOP with NANA," featuring TOP and Nana, who had appeared in the music video for "Totally Crazy! (Studio54)." The two chatted while enjoying convenience store food.
They appeared wearing matching black tracksuits. While the "couple look" might seem significant in hindsight, the atmosphere between them was actually quite awkward. Despite having a spread of easily accessible convenience store items, such as cup noodles, jokbal, snacks, drinks, wine, and fruit, they exchanged somewhat stiff greetings, and silence lingered even after they began eating.
The mukbang continued despite the awkwardness. When Nana offered him some of the cup noodles she was eating, TOP replied, "If you'll give me the chance," and twirled some noodles onto his fork to eat. After tasting the noodles, jokbal, and chicken, TOP remarked, "I think I've eaten about two or three packs of noodles by now. I've had a lot of jokbal, too, and the chicken is delicious."
Even Nana, who usually strictly manages her diet, was fully committed to the meal. She said, "I eat everything well. I usually don't eat much when I'm on a diet, but today I’m making a special exception and letting that go." When Top asked if it was because of the drama's finale, she replied, "No, it's not that; I came to show my support since you were appearing on the show..." and when he asked, "Because *I* was appearing?", she answered, "I put my diet aside."
At that point, TOP and Nana sat awkwardly facing each other despite wearing matching outfits, but they soon grew close and developed a romantic relationship. The two, who had met for work and shared a cup of instant noodles just months prior, were now visiting a convenience store together as a couple. This is why their past moments are drawing renewed attention alongside the news of their public relationship.

It’s immature enough for former idols to be caught up in dating rumors when they’re at a marriageable age, but the mindset required to date someone with a prior drug conviction isn't exactly normal either. I remember seeing Nana on 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator', she claimed she never eats carbohydrates. Is that the reason? Is her head just a decoration placed up there for the sake of balance?

Why are they holding their chopsticks like that?
