Singer and actor Park Yoochun has once again become a subject of controversy by announcing a high-priced dinner show in Japan.
According to the music industry on the 5th, Park Yoochun is set to hold "Park Yoochun Dinner Show 2027" at a hotel in Osaka, Japan, on February 13 of next year. This event, his first dinner show in Osaka, will feature exclusively reserved seating and is open only to paid fan club members.
The point of contention is the price. Tickets are priced at 52,000 yen each; when shipping fees and service charges are added, the total reaches 53,500 yen (approximately 450,000 KRW ($331 USD)). This figure significantly exceeds the average price for hotel dinner shows held by top-tier South Korean artists, which typically range between 200,000 and 300,000 KRW. In a previously released promotional video, Park Yoochun appeared wearing a kimono, seemingly attempting to engage his audience.
Opinions are divided: some criticize this as an exploitative commercial tactic that preys on the loyalty of overseas fans, while others argue that the pricing is not significantly different from the going rates for dinner shows held by top-tier artists in Japan.
I'm shocked there's even demand for this guy

Look at the cases of Kim Hojoong or that guy Hwang Young-woong, the one involved in school violence, isn't it obvious? Do you really think there’s no demand for someone like Park Yoochun? It’s the whole fandom culture that’s just completely messed up
