[enter-talk] I'VE BEEN ASSAULTED BY A FIRST GEN IDOL

t/n: this issue is starting to unfold in Korea (written by OP1), the first post was made in June 6th. OP1 claims to be an ex-trainee from the company of the idol who assaulted them. The first post claimed that the idol has slapped OP1 on their cheek and punched their head. The idol is still in the group today. However, some days later, OP1 erased all the claims a few days later and claimed that it was misunderstanding after the idol re-contacted OP1 and resolved their differences. This happened after OP1 and the idol met in person on June 8th. OP1 apologized for creating a stir. you can read their original claims here. However, on June 9th (today), 2 new victims came out talking about the same idol. The idol in question was also the CEO of the entertainment company OP1, OP2 and OP3 worked for.

[enter-talk] I'M AN ADDITIONAL VICTIM FROM THE 1ST GENERATION IDOL. I GATHERED THE COURAGE TO WRITE HERE (+PROOF)

This is the first post exposing the idol https://url.kr/oy1fnc

Hi.
I'm an employee in the entertainment industry who was a representative of idol member A from the popular 1st generation idol group. After seeing the post made by the trainee from that company, I gathered the courage to write my post.

Let me tell you briefly about me. I worked for this company for about 3 months and left, and I have worked for a total of 3 entertainment companies including this company.

After I decided to join this company, I shared this news with my industry acquaintances. An acquaintance of me started showing concern about it saying “It’s a company where managers keep quitting because of the CEO.”

I thought it was just a rumor at the time, and I did not take it seriously, so I chose to join the company anyways. That was the biggest mistake of my life. This choice forced me to finally leave the entertainment industry I loved altogether. Now, I have to live with great scars from so many insults and shaming I received.

I joined A's company as a management team leader, and I decided to mainly take charge of album planning and new talent development.

At that time, there were two more employees, one in charge of the Chinese business and the other in charge of new talent development. A was not only active in China at the time, but was also active in Korea.

However, despite the busy schedule, there was no other manager in the company, so I was already puzzled. In particular, I remember that there were about 20 trainees, but the number of employees was so small in comparison and for the size of the company.

But even in this situation, I thought that the entertainment department was a temporary understaffed due to a high turnover. The CEO's acquaintances were driving the car to help them whenever there were urgent schedules to attend to. However, among the 3 employees that the CEO had, they asked only me, who was the only one with a Type 2 driving license, to "get a Type 1 driving license" and kept forcing me to do it. I had to practice driving after work with my own money and get a Type 1 driver's license.
(t/n: There are different classes of driving licenses, basically Type 1 is a special category and Type 2 is your general driving license)

After that, I followed almost all of his schedule and even started working as a road manager (t/n: managers who only drive people around). It was excessive work, but there was no extra pay, and I had to do my main job separately.

In particular, A did not hire any new managers now that they found themselves one who could drive them around. Then, one day, A appeared on a variety program.

Usually, the manager and the stylist follow with the schedule, but A went to the filming set with only me and the staff in charge of the Chinese business. It was to save money.

Filming took place outdoors in midsummer. For two days, I left the house around 4-5 am and went to the filming site with A and the other staff. The first day's filming went from early morning to late evening (I can't remember the exact time), but it was a poor environment where food and water were not provided until around 3pm.

I struggled a lot under the scorching sun without a single shade, but since it was the first day of filming, so I thought 'stuff like this happen' and tried to think positively. After the first filming was over, I told A, “I will buy water and snacks necessary for the next day’s filming.” There was neither a restaurant nor a supermarket to buy water near the filming site, so preparation was essential. However,  A said, “Don’t buy water. Just deal with it" also giving the looks at the snacks proposition.

The next day's shootin's concept was to start filming from when A lives their home. A was moving with the filming team, and me and the other staff had to arrive at the shooting site and wait for A and the filming team to arrive.

We didn't get any notice, so we had to starve until the filming was over. Later, I heard that A and the filming team stopped by a restaurant in the middle to eat. The weather was hot, and I had to beg for water from other celebrity managers, let alone food, and my situation was miserable.

However, A did not even say “I’m sorry” or “You suffered” even though they knew we weren’t able to eat and were working. Rather, they said, “Give me the snacks you bought yesterday.”

Even in this situation, I took care of the person who was filming without a manager and a stylist. When the camera was off, I ran to fan them and wiped off their sweat.

However, Representative A told me to stand still holding the heavy bag they were carrying, and they took off his socks while filming and threw them at me. I felt insulted. But I couldn't rebel or resist.

The most shocking incident occurred in the summer of 2014 when our rented office in the basement of a building in Hannam-dong was submerged in rain. On the way to work, it rained heavily the day before and the office was flooded.

The water was up to my ankles. The employees who left early informed A of the situation and we started draining water urgently. The trainees and composers who arrived an hour or two later also helped the staff to scoop out water.

It wasn't easy for me to go to work that day with my skirt and shoes on and scooping up water for hours, but I did my best to scoop it out. Because everyone worked together to pump out the water, we were able to pump out all the water before and after 12:00 PM.

A arrived at the office at that time. It was a very difficult situation for everyone. However, A was concerned about the expensive equipment in his room. While they questioned why the office was flooded, they concluded that it was the landlord's fault.

After this, A asked me to fill out a proof of content to send to the landlord, they asked me to call the landlord directly to ask. When I talked to the owner of the building, I heard that A moved the office here and did the interior work on his own without permission.

The landlord had installed a separate device so that the water could drain out on its own, and on the device they wrote, “You must never turn it off,” and told the employees and A about this new device.

It turned out that when the employees first arrived at the office, they had all their devices unplugged for fear of electric shock. Because of this, the night before, there was no way to verify that this device was plugged in.

However, A has always instructed the trainees to “unplug all the plugs from the practice room before going home”. They were scolded for not following this, so it was presumed that the device in question might have been unplugged in the process.

So I told  A, “I wish I could check the practice room CCTV.” However, hearing this, A forced me to lie, saying, “I called the building owner and the plug was plugged in, but when I came this morning, it was somehow plugged out.”

Afterwards, while having lunch with the staff, I was chatting with them saying, “I can't morally tell such lie,” but when someone decided to tell what I said to A and Satan came out.

After that, A called me separately and became angry. "What? moral? You dared to call it moral?! Bla bla ~ (swearing) “Seems like you couldn't even get basic home education properly.” “Your parents didn’t teach you anything? What do you do when you come to the company without learning the basics like this?” “What if I told you to come to Gangnam Station? But you didn't come out wearing pants. And I asked you "Why didn't you come wearing pants?" and you respond "because CEO didn't tell me". It's the same thing." "Okay? You have no common sense.” “Really, what am I supposed to do with you?” I can remember the words clearly.

I've never anyone tell me "I didn't get a proper home education" in my life. However, A poured out insults and accusations by attacking my own parents. A kept on insisting me to call the building owner and 'tell the lie', but I persevered, saying “I can’t lie”.

In the end, A had another employee lie to the building owner and even sent proof of contents. Then he told me, “Call the landlord every day to fight and bully him.” “It can be difficult to call at first, but it will be fun the more you do it”.

Another day, there was this event hosted by A together with the parent foundation. Me and one other employee had several meetings with the officials to prepare for the event, and even the renting of the space.

However, it was impossible to rent that place we found with the conditions that A wanted. All these situations were reported to A, and even though he knew this risk, A said to book that place.

Eventually, the event was held in a small space, which caused inconvenience to the invited guests. It was also the fault us workers who weren't able to run the event as smoothly, so I felt apologetic.

However, after the event, A called the staff who prepared the event with me in front of the representative of the parent company. A started scolding us saying "It's all the fault of these idiots," . They even insulted me by saying “You're not even as worthy as a bug” and forced me to “bow my head and apologize” to the head of the parent company.

It's the first time I've ever heard the word "stupid" in a public place like this. In the end, I decided to resign after seeing him blaming all the faults on the staff and engaging in verbal abuse.

I have experience working for both small and large entertainment companies. However, the 3 months spent in A's company were truly terrible. I am a generation that liked first-generation idols. Moreover, the shock was even greater because I was a fan who liked the group that A belonged to.

On broadcast, they were always wrapped in the image of a healthy youngster. Every time I saw them like that, I felt unbearable pain. On a show, they said, “I became rich by living frugally,” but in reality, they were a person who gave new composers work without pay, and only said, “Be grateful for working with me.”

This post I wrote today is based on what I experienced, and all of it is based on facts.

I am writing this with a sincere desire that there are no other victims like trainees or myself.

Thanks for reading.

"2014 September 21st Incheon Metropolitan City"

There was a request for proofs, so I looked for it, but these are the only pictures I have left.

It was in 2014 when I was working for the company.

These are the photos I took while telling me to pick up at Incheon International Airport on my day off and the photos of my flight ticket when I went overseas with them.

I hope that CEO A pays for all his actions after this power trip against their employees..

There are especially lots of thugs among 1st generation idols, the difference about them being off-camera is seriously severe. Because they all had that mysterious concept to them, they could hide and get away with what was done behind doors

[enter-talk] THE THIRD POST) ANOTHER EMPLOYEE WHO WAS VICTIM OF THE 1ST GENERATION IDOL WHO ASSAULTED SOMEONE

Hi, I'm writing this post following the post "Top 1st generation idol's assault on trainee" post

I am afraid, but I am writing this post after contemplating a lot in the hope that there will be no victims like me.

I am an employee who has worked for a long time at the agency where "top 1st generation idol who assaulted the trainee" recently became an issue.

I was aware of the assault case that took place in February 2016, which a trainee victim exposed everything through a post. Knowing this at the time, I feel guilty for not being able to provide any comfort or help to the victim.

At least through this article, I would like to say, “I am really sorry and I ask for your forgiveness.”

In fact, I was also assaulted by him during the course of my work.

It wasn't an assault with fists and slaps across my cheeks like a trainee, but I was assaulted twice.

Apart from the assault, I have also heard a number of verbal abuse.

The first assault occurred during a business trip to Qingdao, China in 2014.

After finishing my schedule with him, I took a taxi to a Korean restaurant.

I sat in the back seat next to him and while chatting with him, and he hit me in the head with his gloved hand.

It was so sudden that I can't remember the exact conversation we were having.

I was beaten without knowing why, and I felt embarrassed as well as bewildered. I couldn't understand why he did that, but I checked the rearview mirror first to see if the taxi driver saw it.

Until I got to the Korean restaurant, I still didn't know why he hit me. After I got to the front of the restaurant, he stopped me at the entrance, slapped me and started scolding me.

Without knowing the cause, I was so upset that I couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Then he took me into the restaurant and ordered food.

There was silence between him and me. However, after the food was served, he unexpectedly took a photo of the food casually.

It was an action that was very difficult to understand, but I was confused and finished the meal without saying anything.

After that, after returning to the dormitory where I was staying, I cried a lot by myself because of this injustice. Meanwhile, he sent the photos of food that he took carefully to me through KakaoTalk.

Amid this difficult situation I was in, I wanted to return home the next day, but I couldn't.

A lot of emotions crossed my mind, including fear and regret for myself.

The second assault was at a KBS broadcasting station in 2019. Before going on stage, I was putting on his in-ear mic.

But he suddenly clapped my hand with the word “Ai-Ssi.” I knew that he was usually a person who couldn't control his emotions well, and it was right before going on stage, so I couldn't react at all.

After that, I called an acquaintance who was waiting outside (because there was no manager on that day, I had to call my own acquaintance to drive him), handed me a water bottle, and left the scene.

I have been subjected to a lot of verbal abuse and insults on a regular basis, but I thought it was something I had to endure. There were people who even told me, ‘Because you're a woman, he probably didn't hit you as much’.

It was also my decision to put up with the violence and verbal abuse, so I blamed everything on me.

I mentioned the abusive language and physical assault that I suffered when I left the company.

He said, 'When did I do that?' 'Rather, I beat myself up and yelled at myself when no one was there.'

He also said, "Why are you pretending to be nice" and "Don't pretend to be nice" in front of new employees.

When he framed me in the presence of other people, I felt like I had lost everything. When I think of that day, my hands still tremble and my heart trembles.

I have absolutely never physically assaulted or verbally assaulted him.
After the post written by the trainee became an article, many reporters contacted me to confirm the facts, but I was afraid and couldn't get the courage to do so.

I am still afraid, but I am writing this post with courage after thinking in the hope that there will be no more victims like me.

If the contents of this post are not true, I will take full responsibility.

Thanks for reading.

Seriously the power trip in entertainment companies is different from the ones you see in normal companies. It's like he makes people his own slaves
