Stray Kids' international fandom association said on SNS, "After a long discussion, we agreed not to proceed with voting for the Seoul Music Awards. At last year's ceremony, there is evidence that the winner received the trophy and gave a winning speech before the voting period was even over. The online votes are proven to not reflected."
In addition, a portion of BTS' fandom also declared a voting boycott, saying, "There has been no feedback or apology from the SMA side for the hurt and damage suffered by the fandom every year." However, it is known that the international fandom is currently still casting votes [for them].
