[marriage & in-laws] AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO FINDS IT A CHORE TO CONTACT MY FRIENDS?

It's a pain to contact my friends..

By the way, that doesn't mean that I have a lot of friends

But now that I'm in my 30's, I find gossiping about every little details not even fun anymore... I just do my own thing and am enjoying my own hobbies.

I'm more comfortable alone and I'm too lazy to meet up with my friends.

I would just sometimes ask my friends if they are doing well and that's it.

If they tell me that we should hang out at some point, I just go "ok" but deciding on a concrete date is too much of a pain..

To be honest, everyone is doing well so it's always the same repertory. "How are you? Yup I'm fine, you? Nothing major right happening right?" etc etc...

If they are considered pretty close friends, I feel like I must greet them

But even that is annoying... but also, why not greet them?...

I'm still unmarried so I think that once I get married, I will find it even more annoying. And it's gonna get worse if I had a kidㅎㅎ Hanging out with friends used to be so fun when I was little though

It's normal to think like OP. Seems like there are many people in the comments who would die without their friends. Are you guys making friends just so you can bring them to your events? I have a kid and I'm married too and different people have different ways of thinking

Something's wrong with kids like OP. I've been looking for friends so badly... I'll acknowledge your problems if you won't call your friends to your weddings and if you grieved your parents' funeral alone.
