[theqoo] THE OSCAR NOMINATIONS THAT BECAME CONTROVERSIAL THIS YEAR

Best Supporting Actress Award

America Ferrera is there but,
Julianne Moore, Natalie Portman and Penelope Cruz are not there

Best Supporting Actor Award

There's Ryan Gosling, but there's no Charles Melton.
(This seems to be the most controversial nomination)

Original Score (Music Award)

Spiderverse isn't there

Best adapted screenplay

Killers of the Flower Moon isn't there

Best directing

Celine Song and Greta Gerwig aren't there

Best Actress Award

Margot Robbie and Greta Lee aren't there
(It seems like it's because America Ferrera and Ryan Gosling were nominated on the Barbie team...)
In addition, Iron Claw and Saltburn got 0 nominations

original post: here

1. It's not that controversial that Saltburn didn't get nominated

2. What a shame for Charles Melton

3. Barbie did well but there was nothing that special about Margot Robbie's acting

4. Hul so they nominated everyone but Barbie

5. There's not an award show without any controversy, I feel like this is quite normal

6. Barbie without Barbie

7. But I kinda understand Barbie's nominations

8. Seriously some of them are dumbfounding

9. Ah the directing award nominees are just wrong

10. But it's true that this year had way too many strong movies
