[theqoo] MIN HEEJIN "I DON'T WANT TO BRING UP ILLIT... BUT WE NEED TO RAISE THE PROBLEM OF PLAGIARISM"

On May 31, Min Hee Jin spoke with the media after a month since her explosive press conference. The interview comes just a day after Min Hee Jin won her legal battle against HYBE.

Min Hee Jin answered the question tentatively, stating that she didn’t want to hurt ILLIT members further.

"I am a consistent person; there isn’t any reason why I would suddenly change my mind. But like I said before, I don’t want to talk about members anymore because the more I talk about it, the more uncomfortable they (ILLIT) will be."

Min Hee Jin was also asked if she would continue to bring up issues at the company. The CEO responded to the question, stating that although she didn’t look for fights, she felt a healthy discourse was important.

"As for bringing up issues, I think that it is always necessary to have issues called out in a healthy way. And the court has acknowledged this was necessary. So, if there is another reason for me to bring something up, I will."

1. Well said

2. If you feel unjustly called out, meet me in the ring~

3. Min Heejin, fighting fighting

4. Min Heejin did not bring up ILLIT herself today. Every time a question about ILLIT came up, she stated she didn’t want to mention them. When asked 1) if she still thinks ILLIT is plagiarizing and 2) if she would protest again if another issue arises, she said her opinion hasn’t changed but she doesn’t want to discuss the group. For the second question, she said she would protest if necessary. The headlines made it seem like she brought it up herself.

5. That’s true. HYBE should deeply reflect on the fact that they themselves made up this 'copycat' image for their young idols. And that person who posted that "f*ck you" photo too..

6. The reporters were really pushing with their questions.

7. But what she said was true

8. CopyLIT, plagiaLIT, disband

9. Unrelated to the main topic, as an older fan who doesn’t really know much about today’s idols, I thought ILLIT's songs were by NewJeans. At work, the new hires were listening to NewJeans, so I assumed they were also NewJeans but they told me they weren'tã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ And when they showed me pictures of ILLIT, anyone could tell that they were a copyã…‹ Even if NewJeans just passed by on TV, their long hair was memorable, and these girls also have long hairã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ It made me think that they even copy others' image like this nowã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

10. This is just the composure of the winnerã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ just try to stir things up again, it will only make ILLIT look cheap
