The debtors (NewJeans members) have directly or indirectly expressed their intention to act independently before and after the provisional injunction ruling. After the ruling, they performed under the new group name ‘NJZ’ at ComplexCon and even released a new song, thereby violating the obligations set forth in the injunction decision. Therefore, it appears likely that they may continue to violate these obligations in the future.

The court continued:

Accordingly, there is a need to impose indirect compulsory measures to enforce compliance with the obligations specified in the injunction.

Additionally, the court ruled:

Taking into account the debtors’ attitude, including their violation of the obligations following the injunction, the expected damages to the creditor (ADOR), the benefits to the debtors, and the circumstances leading to this decision, the debtors must pay 1 billion won (~740K USD) per violation to ADOR.
