I’ve lived in Japan for over 10 years, and honestly, there are so many people like Riehata.
People who watched the show are like, 'Huh? Why is Riehata getting praise for good directing while HoneyJ is being called the 'worst' for not showing as much skill?' But the way Riehata speaks is a textbook example of that passive-aggressive Japanese style: smiling and acting nice to your face, then trash-talking behind your back.
From the start, even though she went 1:1 with someone and got chosen as the director, I think she still had lingering resentment because in a previous round, she lost out when choreography was chosen, and now it was her choreography again, but it felt like someone was trying to take it from her. That stuck with her.
There were only 6 people, but the way things were structured and spaced out (in her choreography), HoneyJ was placed way in the back. From the very start or in group scenes, you couldn’t even see her when trying to spot each member individually. Then Riehata goes on and talks about 'language barriers' and 'communication issues,' and finishes by saying HoneyJ should’ve shown more aura and dancing ㅋㅋ She’s the one who buried her in the group and then says that? That’s just classic Japanese-style passive-aggressive behavior. Made me realize again that this is nothing but a Japanese crew. Seeing that on a broadcast makes it impossible to see them in a good light.
The judges and even Mnet seemed super biased toward RHTokyo. There’s only one battler on the crew, and yet they’re getting 1st place during 'No Respect'? ㅋㅋFeels like another attempt to crown a Tokyo crew as #1 like they did with Bebe.
